Biography

Penrith junior could not force his way into the club’s premiership winning team after coming back from an injury in 2003. Linking with the Wests Tigers Elford finally achieved premiership honours when he partnered another former Panthers team-mate in Paul Whatuira in the centres in the 30-16 win over the North Queensland in the 2005 grand final.

Lightning fast outside back that also played lock/second row and five eighth when needed. Had a lengthy career in first grade only limited by niggling injuries. Was unlucky to not play representative football, was earmarked for a NSW SOO wing position in 2000 but succumbed to injury in the weeks leading to selection. Captained the panthers during his final year at the club. Is held in very high regard in the NRL community and is currently the head of Welfare at Panthers and current NSWRL Coach at St.Marys.

Lol at the commenter that said he "also played lock/second row and five eighth when needed". Looked at the list of all games played and he literally never played in any of those positions.
